Mobile Application VAPT for Android and iOS

Mobile security testing across application binaries, device storage, network traffic, APIs and business logic.

Assessment coverage

How the assessment works

Deep mobile security testing tailored for Android and iOS:

Android (APK) focus: - Static analysis: manifest, unsafe permissions, exported components, hardcoded secrets, insecure IPC (content providers/intents). - Dynamic analysis: instrumentation, Frida/Frida-Gadget, Objection, runtime tampering, hooking sensitive APIs. - Binary & packaging: unpacking, resource inspection, obfuscation bypass, native libs analysis, tamper & signature checks. - Network & TLS: Network Security Config, TLS/SSL pinning checks, man-in-the-middle (MITM) testing, certificate validation bypass techniques. - Data protection: insecure storage (SharedPreferences, files, DB), improper encryption, key derivation, backup leakage. - Privilege escalation & root detection: bypass root/jailbreak checks, analyze native code for privilege misuse.

iOS (IPA) focus: - Static analysis: app entitlements, plist misconfigurations, insecure URL schemes, hardcoded keys, insecure frameworks. - Dynamic analysis: runtime instrumentation with Frida/Objection, jailbroken device testing, dynamic library inspection. - Keychain & Secure Enclave: keychain item access control review, misuse of biometric APIs, secure enclave considerations. - Binary protection: code signing, symbol stripping, binary patching, and runtime integrity checks. - Network & TLS: ATS configuration, SSL pinning implementation checks, WebView + JS bridge security.

Testing modes available: Black-box: External, unauthenticated testing focusing on public app behaviour, UI flows, and API interactions. Gray-box: Authenticated testing with test accounts or partial source info to exercise logic reachable by users. White-box: Source and build review when available " includes code-level findings and fix suggestions.

We produce reproducible PoCs (screenshots, logs, exploit scripts), remediation guidance, and optional CI/CD hooks for build-time checks.

OWASP Mobile Top 10 (2024 edition)

Mobile apps carry risk in places a web app never has to think about. The device itself can be lost, rooted or jailbroken, the compiled binary can be pulled apart and reverse engineered at leisure once it is installed on a device the attacker controls, and sensitive data often has to be cached locally just for the app to keep working offline. OWASP's Mobile Top 10 was substantially rewritten in 2024 to reflect how mobile specific threats have actually evolved since its original 2016 version, and it is the list we work through, platform by platform, on every Android and iOS engagement.
